Bill Gaytten is the new creative director of Christian Dior, and we can definitely see that ”things have changed” since John Galliano’s fall-out. Instead of a very extravagant collection, we have classic silhouettes and a Parisian style. Interesting collars and lots of skinny belts, accentuating the feminine body and its curves. Through out the collection, we can see the amount of fabrics used, from silk, tulle and lace to leather.
I personally loved it and thought it was so PRETTY. It’s full of pretty dresses, coats and even hats. I really like this 50’s ‘lady-like’ vibe designers have been showing in the runways. It’s good to see completely different things, like Christian Dior and Dsquared2’s Spring 2012 RTW. Like Olivia Palermo said ”I’m happy people are getting dressed again!”.
